Get started

Quickstart

From sign-up to your first event in about five minutes.

  1. Create your account

Sign up with your name, email and a password. Your organization is created for you, with a free trial that needs no card.

  2. Add a project

Click Add site, then pick what you're tracking (website, web app, game, mobile app, desktop app or backend) and how you'll send events. You can add more projects later; they all share your plan's allowance.

  3. Install the snippet

The setup page shows a ready-to-paste snippet with your project's write key already filled in. Pick the guide for your platform:

    You're trackingUse
A website, store or blogScript tag
A React, Next.js, Vue or Svelte app, React Native, Electron or NodeJavaScript SDK
A Unity or Godot gameUnity or Godot
An iOS or Android appSwift or Kotlin
Anything else (Unreal, Flutter, Python, Go…)HTTP API
  4. See your first event

Open your site or start your game. The setup page waits for the first event and tells you the moment it arrives, usually within a second. You'll also see it in Live events.

  5. Send your own events

Pageviews and sessions are recorded for you. Track what matters to your product with track("event_name", { …properties }), and tie events to your users with identify(userId). See Events and people.

Nothing showing up?

Check these, in order:

CheckWhy
The write keyIt must be the vxw_… key from this project's setup page, and not revoked.
Your own visits are excludedIf you opened your site with ?anyanalytics_ignore=true before, your browser is excluded. Visit any page with ?anyanalytics_ignore=false to undo it.
An ad blockerSome block analytics. Try another browser, or serve the tag from your own domain.
Debug loggingAdd data-debug to the script tag, or debug: true to the SDK options, to see what the SDK sends in the browser console.

Note

Events sent while the setup page is open also appear in Live events, including the ones that were rejected and why. It's the fastest way to debug an integration.
